Ukraine National Bank (NBU) is the central bank The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) 36.56 hryvnias per dollar

Ukraine National Bank (NBU) is the central bank of Ukraine responsible for minting and sovereignty of the National currency. It's a part of the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on July 21 changed its official exchange rate against the U.S. dollar by 25%, to UAH 36.5686 per U.S. dollar, according to its press service. The regulator also announced that it was ready for talks on the process of exchange rate reduction and said it was considering suspending payments in foreign currency until further notice."

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) is the central bank of Ukraine. The NBU was established in 1993 as a successor to the State Bank of Ukraine and first took over responsibility for monetary policy, overseeing bank reserves and ensuring financial stability.

Hryvnia exchange rate of UAH 29.25 per US Dollar rapidly became irrelevant and lost its reference points in the process of economic recovery. At the same time, NBU expects new exchange rate will add stability to Ukrainian economy in conditions of uncertainty and keeping the exchange rate fixed will enable NBU to maintain control over inflation dynamics and support uninterrupted functioning of the financial system

The National Bank of Ukraine will keep the official exchange rate to the dollar stable for the coming year, it was announced on November 3. The regulator proposes a new rate based on the average of a basket of currencies used by international benchmarks and derivatives market watchers as one can see from the attached chart. This fixes the official exchange rate at a new, more stable level so that authorities can keep price developments in Ukraine under control.
